Karen is our office paralegal who is available to assist you with the immediate questions after the death of a loved one. Her management of estate and trust administration details is excellent. She works with our attorneys to accomplish the completion of estate and trust matters for you and your family.
Chrystal is our primary assistant in the preparation of legal documents including Wills, Trusts and Real Estate documents. We encourage you to rely on her and our entire staff to keep the communication of information moving forward on your legal matters.
Sue is our part time staff assistant who brings years of office experience in her past career. Sue is a valued addition to our office team.
Our office at 208 West Stephenson was built in 1915 as a bank. Its uses were many until it was acquired by Bob Schmelzle and Dick Eckert in the early 1960s when it became the home of legal and professional offices. We are proud to call this building our professional home.
Shockey & Cox LLC was formed on July 1, 2002. David Shockey began legal practice in August, 1983 with Schmelzle & Kroeger Law Offices and Steve Cox began practice in 1994 with Reno Zahm, Rockford, Illinois and later was an associate with Snow,Hunter, Whiton & Fishburn in Freeport.
Shockey & Cox, LLC was formed in 2002, with attorneys and staff dedicated to providing legal advice to its clients in Northwestern Illinois. We will endeavor to provide efficient and timely counsel to you and will assure that our billing practices are fair and reasonable.
